Anniversaries today

July 2 is an interesting day in history (brought to you this morning on WRPN in Ripon):

The Lawrence Welk show premiered today in 1955.

The funniest movie of all time, "Airplane!", premiered nationwide today in 1980.

And Nostradamus died today in 1566.

(I am serious. And don't call me Shirley.)
